ROMANTIC REVOLUTION (English version of Revolucion Romantica)

No. 4  Crying with you.

Kommt, ihr Töchter, helft mir klagen,

Sehet – Wen ? – den Bräutigam

Seht ihn- Wie? – als wie ein Lamm !

Fragmento del primer número (Coral) de la Pasión según San Mateo de Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750)

Daughters and Sons join him and grieve with him,
His life has been disturbed by desolation and calamity.
His people has abandoned to him and he is scary
Because he knows his own luck.

Within his bitter and blood tears
He wishes that God grants strength and courage.
He means the great salvation
Despite his not deserved suffering.

Jesus, God Lamb I cry with you.
I have no idea about your passion,
But I know I’ve betrayed in all sense,
And also I know God supports you.

Ignore your divine teachings, was my sin
That’s why you are damned.
I would like you Jesus, open my poisoned heart,
Cause my body was alienated.

Angels solemnly sing,
They are crying too while they tone the song.
Sake announced by you, is certainly omnipresent.
Angels confirm this last one.

In order to live eternally and exalted,
I’m going to take the cross.
It pains recognize God Son will be handed over,
I will be with you.

Daughters and sons, you know what it will happen
Don’t leave him now.
He has been with you, then and now
So, be humble and merciful in this, his unhappy time.

Inspired on episode of Christ in Olive Mount, where he makes a pray and spill blood tears by the suffering waiting for him. It also is inspired in Matthew Passion BWV 244 by Johann Sebastian Bach specifically the choir No. 1 (“Kommt ihr töchter, helft mir klagen”)
